What to see in Mallorca?
Mallorca is one of the Balearic Islands in Spain, located in the south-west of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a popular tourist destination due to its beauty, cultural and historical heritage, as well as a wide range of entertainment.
1. Palma de Mallorca: the capital of the island with many historical and architectural monuments, including the cathedral (La Seu), Almudaina Castle, Bellver Castle and many others.
2. Santuari de Luc: This is a famous monastery and temple located in the mountains. Here you can see a painting of St. Mary, considered a saint, and take part in religious ceremonies.
3. Serra de Tramuntana: A mountain range that runs through the island and offers wonderful views and opportunities for traveling, cycling or other natural activities.
4. Valdemossa: the famous city where Frederic Chopin and George Sand lived. In it you can see their former home and landmark, as well as beautiful architecture and streets.
5. Deia: Another village in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains with stunning views, excellent restaurants and an offer of art galleries.
6. Beaches: There are many great beaches in Mallorca where you can relax and enjoy the sun and the sea. The area of Palma de Mallorca has popular beaches such as Palma Nova, Magaluf and Illet.
7. Eat traditional foods: While in Majorca, be sure to try traditional foods such as ensaimada (one of the most popular baked goods on the island), sobrasada (local canned sausage in a rustic style) and trempo (tomato-sweet sauce seasoned with olive oil).
